I think I did something wrong... because I haven't seen posts from other people having problems with DJ6. I did a custom install the first time and when the choice for rebooting came, I selected "no", and tried to run the program anyway, just because I am that kind of guy. <grin> As I was warned, it didn't work, so I rebooted, but I was surprised that it still didn't work. Anwyay, I uninstalled it, then re-installed it, selecting standard the second time around, and this time I allowed the reboot. :) When I try to run the program, I see a small picture of a red chess king, which then changes to yellow, and then to green. Next comes an error popup: "Engine: unKnown error 1". The interface loads, and I can play vs. the opening book, but when it's time for the engine to start crunching the program stalls. I can try doing a few things, but eventually the application craters. Any suggestions? I'm running NT 4.0 Server on a dual PII-266, 128Mb RAM. The account used to install the program does have administrator access. Just in case it's important, on my computer NT's home dir is F:\WINNT; I don't actually have a C: drive. While I was trying to get things to work, the DJ6 CD-ROM was in my J: drive, which is also the drive I installed the program from. Dave
