1. If you choose a new =< 8.3 file name, you could do it through MS-DOS window with the command < ren database.* newname.* > 2. from inside Fritz it's the best to create a new database with the desired name, go to the original database, choose all games with CTRL-A and copy them into the new database, deleting the old one.
