No, fixing the bug just fixes the bug, it doesn't make things that are not related to the bug easier. I don't have any suggestions about Gromit or TCB; I don't use them. I'm not a chess engine collector, and I've never tried most of the engines that work with WinBoard. I guess if I were into collecting engines, I would have found a way to make the process of installing new ones easier. (I did try TCB a few times, and maybe Gromit once, just to see if they seemed to work, but I don't know anything about installing alternate books in them or other advanced features they may have.) --Tim
