I don't think it is that easy ; following output from Bringer ( using 5-man ):

1:23:55.4 (19/41) 314249879 5.12 h3-g2
1:26:49.8 (19/41) 367272695 8.12 h3-g2
1:32:24.2 (19/44) 378077322 Matt in 18 h3-g2 f2-e3 h2-h4 e3-d4 h4-h5

Sitting there pondering about Ke3 it thought

3:57:04.6 [f2-e3] (19/47) 354387982 12.10 h2-h4
3:57:29.8 [f2-e3] (19/47) 355981166 15.21 h2-h4
3:57:38.9 [f2-e3] (19/47) 356413768 Matt in 21 h2-h4 e3-f2 h4-h5
d3-d2 d1xd2 f2xg2 h5-h6

So , is it a mate in 18 ?

Shredder 4 couldn't find mate in 8:30 h on a PII300 ( using 4-man and some 5-man
) . I will set up crafty later for a _long_ search until it gives mate .
