Makes one wonder if she would do the same if playing a match vs an equally
strong human? Probably not. If she loses to Junior I hope she doesn't revert
to an excuse of being too exhausted. I don't think she would resort to that.

I agree that it is unfortunate that Xie is playing in both events. I'd prefer
that the human stay within their normal playing rythmn for such events. As I
mentioned in another post even Gary Kasparov, who is definitely not lacking in
determination and stamina,
requested rest days in the event of another Deep Blue challenge. It's the way
GMs have always handled serious match play.

Her current performance in the Sufe Tournament is not so good and although
the Junior match has yet to start it may be that the pressure of doing both
is a distraction for that event also. Lots of speculating now on my part.
