That's a lot of effort all round. And the money for the air fare might not be totally insignificant. There is not really all that much money in computer chess or in women's chess. Would a face to face match generate much more publicity than an Internet one? Does Xie Jun really want to do the tourist thing in Israel (or does someone from the Junior team really want to visit China)? Unless the answer to at least one of these questions is yes, it seems more sensible to play on the net.
