Because I have not found it. I only see brain.dat and new_brain.dat in the ftp
directory. In the distribution of the latest version (3.6) there is no .dat
file.
According to the README file, something is written to coeffs.dat at the end of
each game (but I have been unable to play a single game). I tried with and empty
coeffs.dat file, but I currently do not remember what happened other than it
failed (it is supposed to be a binary file).
It is posible that the missing file is in older versions, but I am not going to
download each one of them.
Maybe I should contact the author. First I will give it another try on my own.
If anybody has solved these problems, help is appreciated.
José.
