I use a small number of endgame test positions, at which Crafty performs best,
ahead of King 2.61/CM6000 and M-Chess 7.1 (I do not have the most recent
versions of Shredder or Genius etc.).
I'm not sure if my results are reliable in terms of practical playing strength
in the endgame; I would have to use much more positions. Or even better, do the
"Nunn endgame test": This testset by John Nunn consists of 10 positions to be
used in the way like his opening position set(s).

Has somebody tried the Nunn EGT? I think the results would be interesting for
this topic.

M.Scheidl

P.S.
If the positions are not found, tell me if I shall post a PGN. I have only the
.cbh version at the moment.
