When the Atari ST first came out, there were people at Atari claiming that
it the 68000 was a 32 bit processor.  But other people in the industry were
literally saying "wait a minute, this is NOT a 32 bit processor."   I guess it
is a matter of definition.  My understanding is that the 68000 can move 32 bits
around internally - and that it is a lower external bandwith version of the
68010 or 68020 from what I heard like 14 years ago.
