Subject: Posting bogus positions is annoying

Please don't do that. Sometimes, I may have a computer run all night on a
position because someone says it is important.

Then, on the next day, they say, "Oops. I really meant <foo> not <bar>."

That is really unnecessary. You don't have to understand EPD to post the
positions correctly. Get Manfred Rosenboom's excellent Epd2diag tool (or the
javascript version if you don't have a Win32 type machine). You can load PGN
and it will automatically convert the PGN to correct EPD. Or you can edit by
hand and just set up the board how you want. Then it will create the correct
EPD string for that.

There is really no reason to post a bad string and ask people to solve it when
it is so simple to create a good one.

Look at "My Special Pages" and the 2nd and 3rd entries will be the tools I
describe.
