I just implemented the 'Progress' tiebreak scheme in PGNres. This sums your score after each round in a tournament. This is effective against the 'Swiss Gambit' type result. It seems like an interesting tiebreak method, good for Swiss tournaments only of course. Here are results of WCC99, the first table is ordered by Score then Progress. The second table is ordered by Score then SOP (SOP was used to tiebreak at WCC99 I believe). There is no change in the way the ties for first and third were resolved, although the ordering of the group on 4.5 points is different.
