Since Xie had time to prepare against Junior and note any positional flaws I think this would have been a closer match than expected. But since Xie has probably not done this, what good is having the time to prepare? The player I would most like to see play deep Junior is Kramnik since he plays such a sophisticated positional game. I think this would have been a real test (if Kramnik was motivated to prepare). If a match like this ever happens I hope it is not at Kasparov club.
