When I was first learning how to play chess, I read an opening book, and set a big trap for my opponent. Of course, I didn't get to use the trap, since my opponent didn't play into the trap, he varied almost immediately. Same deal here. Anyone who relies on a commercial program to play the same openings and the same middlegame move as a tournament version is basing their game upon very poor premises, and will be in for a psychological letdown in the almost certain event that the program doesn't play like they expect. bruce
