For tactical tests with your own written program you can start with the
BT-series: BT 2450, BT 26x0, BS 2830 and finally the GS 2930.

The BT 2450 and 26x0 are for "weaker" programs. If your prog is supposed to play
very strong it should solve most of the positions in BT 2450 and BT 26x0 and you
can run the BS and GS testsuites.
