I find many things v odd .... Bob said that K62 doesnt' support ppro optimization (Dann suggested the same too.) This is why I can't use any crafty ver 17.x altho Bob believes that "some" versions works. (I would think that Bob is a creature of habit :), eg compile pgms with certain options (eg, ppro optimization)in a consistent manner. Unfortunately, since there aren't any notes saying which version isn't PPRO optimized, I had to DL many many many diff 17.x versions to randomly try. Sadly, all gave me illegal program instructions error. :( According to Phalanx's page (bench section), K63 could run Phalanx with PPro optimization. But what I know is K63 is just K62 with with 256k full speed cache. So what's going on here? Can anyone confirm that K62 won't run PPro optimized code? Another thing. There must be millions with K62 wanting to run Crafty under windows. I read many message boards, yet, I have never seen once anyone saying that he can't run Crafty. Either that or all K62 owners have compilers and compile their own Crafty. Well, I would appreciate it if anyone can point me to a K62 compatible latest Crafty exe. Tnx u.
