Tnx u v much for this info. But K62, not being from Intel, might somehow work
differently, won't u say.

In any case, I'm v puzzle why crafty1619 works fine, but when I replaced it with
17.xx I get illegal program instruction error.

If crafty were a bad program, I won't be bother at all trying to get the latest
version (or any versions), but crafty being the tops of winboard engines....
well, I am going nuts knowing that there is a better crafty out there.

Does any one know if 17.9 is significantly better than 16.19? (eg, +50 elo?)
16.19 is *so* many versions away. :)
