I was trying to find out what can possibly happen when you take a program out of the opening book from the very first move, since I am rated only 2250 I decided to download Little Goliath 2000 V 2.5 which can easily match my strength. I will advice you to be very careful when you try to take a program out of its opening book, and do not let the position turn to be an open position which is exactly what happened in this game, otherwise you have to face a tactical monster which is any program rated over 2200. Here is the game so you can appreciate the danger of getting into an open position against a master rated program. This game was played at 15 minutes for each side, using my old AMD K6 300 Mhz. As I mentioned before, Black is using Little Goliath 2000 V 2.5 Winboard Version 4.07. 1.h3 d5(just to get it out of its opening library) 2.d4 Nc6 3.Nf3 Bf5 4.Bf4 e6 5.c3 Bd6 6 Bxd6 Qxd6 7.Nbd2 Nfe7 8.e3 0-0 9.Be2 e5 10.dxe5 Nxe5 11.Nxe5 Qxe5 12.Nf3 Qd6 13.0-0 c5! (first step to open the position later on) 14.Bd3 Qf6 15.Bxf5 Qxf5 16.Qb1 Qe6! (Trying to exchange queens and have a better chance at the end game)17.Qd3 f5! ( again the program is trying to open up the game) 18 Rad1 a6 19.Rd2 h6 20.Rfd1 b5 21.b4 Rac8 22.bxc4 Rxc5 (I thought that by having two Rooks and a queen it was now to my advantage to open the position a little, Wrong judgement) 23.Nd4 Qe5 24.f3 Rfc8 25.Ne2 Rc4 (Little Goliath took another 10 moves to open my position further, and once that was accomplished, the tactical monster was just too tactical for me.
