This post is a big problem. Basically it would be possible for van den
Herik to sue for libel. Whether he would win or not is down to whether
the allegation is provable. Maybe it is true and provable and maybe it
is not; but can ICDand the moderators take the risk to leave it sitting
on the server ?

If Thorsten posts this into rgcc, as he has done in the past, then its
his risk, and van den Herik has not tried to make any action about past
postings.

CCC is qualitatively different from rgcc is several ways.

Now, Thorsten, don't get me worng, I'm not wanting to censor you, I
find this an appropriate place to discuss icca - whether they are good
or bad guys, and so on; but, thankfully, this is a closed forum right
now, so your message isn't going to give Steve any problems - but you
are going to have to bear it in mind when posting here. Just a little
rephrasing woudl do the trick.

Instead of:

>You have a list of things YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT,

> i have heard somebody - a tournament director say to a participant:

> if you don't come with me, I will kick you in the face...

> (The participant this was said is MCHESS, the operator was exactly

Try this:

 >You have a list of things YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT,

> I have heard something - a tournament director and a participant (you can : > remember this issue, I posted it into rgcc some time ago)

> it was not at all pleasant

> (The participant this was said is MCHESS, the operator was exactly

>mr.Peter Schreiner, and the event this happened was PADERBORN 1995.

>Ossi Weiner is a witness [and some others] and Prof. Jaap van den Herik

>is the participant

In other words, don't put the group into difficulties. You must use
more careful words - because other people can get sued as well as
yourself on CCC.

So let's talk about icca and $1000 and MChess and all the rest, but
lets make sure we use mealy mouthed language that skirts around and
doesn't run the risk of landing anybody in the libel courts.
