Losing chess games does not hurt, at least not like losing rugby games (: If you do not want to lose every game, then you can play against the weaker engines. I think some strong engines have handicap modes, too. Then you can use the strong programs to analyze your games against the weak ones. Finally, you can make your own testsuite from those games, and do your usual testsuite solving. José.
