On the topic with crafty up there with the big boys:

The following is a 25 minute, 25 sec increment tournament.  With only 6 games
left with the manually operated Shredder 4 to go Crafty has basicly outclassed
the other engines.  Of course the world champion might go ahead and win it.  The
use of more then one version of the engines was so I could get an idea of the
relative differences in strength.  The surprise was how well Crafty played with
these guys.
