And that is Kasparov - Before Fide existed, there was no official World Championship title, so the 'World Strongest player, was whoever was winning the most matches. Fide, being a kind of ridiculous organization now, I think it fair to say that Kasparov dominates the game so completely over his closest competitors, calling anyone else The WORLD CHAMPION, is just silly. Now - for the computer part - Though Shredder has won the World computer championship title more than once, and is the current champion, I think it is fair to say that No commercial program, really dominates this title over any other commercial playing program, like the way that Kasparov does over his fellow humans. So Shredder can be respected as much as Khalifman is as a champion. 1st among equals… Larry T.
