You have probably also noticed that no version of Chessmaster has ever supported NT (although the next one almost certainly will). However, I MIGHT be able to at least solve your problems. I have noticed that even in Win98 you can't change the settings via the "Screen Saver" tab in the Display Properties dialog. However, if you open Explorer and right-click on the file "Chessmaster 5000.scr", which SHOULD be in your Windows directory, you will see an option called "Configure". That SHOULD open the settings dialog, in which you can change the speed (and also turn on the sounds -- which may or may not work). As for the font, did you install the entire theme, or just the screen saver? Do you have a file called CM5000.ttf anywhere in your Windows/Fonts directory? If so, then you're out of luck, because that should work. If not, then e-mail me and I can send you the font. Best of Luck! jm p.s. Sorry, but there are no plans on updating the screen saver at this time.
