Look at them sideways and they are faces, colon or semicolon for eyes (semicolon is a wink), bracket is a mouth, all yours are smiling, indicating a happy emotion, the other bracket would be unhappy. Sometimes there is a nose in there too, as in your last one, not sure of anything specific meaning in that case. >2.
