I think something might be wrong with the way your Athlon is set up. The benchmarks at Tom's Hardware indicate that an Athlon will outperform an older PIII by a large margin at games like Half-Life, even at the same clock speed. The Athlon/600 vs. PIII/450 should really be no contest, unless something is wrong with your drivers or something. -Tom
