As for needing the cd to be in, that depends on how you installed the program and the need for it to refer back to it to run. I do not fully understand what you are asking for.If you do not want to have the cd always in, do not install it using the minimum installation settings, other than that, if you have to have a cd in there or it asks for it, you have to have it.
