Hei, Severi! Nice to hear that you have started to write chess program! My Nero is one of the slowest programs. On my 486DX-120MHz it evaluates about 1000 positions per second. Perhaps it can reach 10.000 positions per second on the fastest pentiums. (In endgame positions Nero is many times faster than that thought.) More important number is the searchdepth your program can reach in certain time. I think you should download some programs and try them on your computer and compare their skills with your own program.
