As already stated, search efficiency goes down with increasing # of processors.

Aside from that, quad computers cost a small fortune because they require extra
internal space, extra cooling, etc. Dual computers aren't nearly so bad. You can
get a dual mobo for less than $100 more than a single mobo, and they usually fit
just fine in normal (full size) tower casses.

So, two reasons to get the Dual Pentium instead of the Quad Xeon.
