Subject: FICS tourney!

Hello chess friends!

After successfully testing the FICS interface on March 26, we now are thinking
about organizing a real round robin tournament, spanning across two or three
weekends. Of course the games can also be played on week days, as long as the
two players can agree on a time and date.

For now, let me put together a list of participants so far:

1. Volker Pittlik, "VAP" - Crafty SMP 17.10 on Dual Celeron 433
2. Klemens Keck, "chirpy" - Nimzo 2000 on AMD K6-2 500
3. Peter Skinner, "?", - Gandalf on P-III 450
4. Keith Reynolds, "Portnoy" - Shredder 4.0 on Athlon 750
5. Carlo Meier, "?" - Chessmaster 7000 on ...
6. Andreas Schwartmann, "Maus" - Junior 6a on AMD K6-III 450

Settings are: 60 + 5
Moves are entered manually or automatically (if applicable).

If we get more players, this round robin tourney might become to big, as right
now this means already 10 games per player. So we might even get to make a swiss
mode tourney.

If you have a FICS account and want to take part too, I need the follwing
information: Your program, your FICS handle and your hardware. If you have any
suggestions, don't hesitate and mail them to me!

Thanks for your time,
take care,
Andreas
