AMD sells chips. Once people buy the chips, they're out of AMD's hands. If I want to buy an Athlon and set it on fire, well, that's not "authorized by AMD," but I sure can do it anyway. It's entirely possible that your friend (what does it matter how long he's been your friend?) plugged two Athlons in a dual Alpha mobo, so you really do have a dual Athlon system. I assume the BIOSes are incompatible, so I have no idea how this would work, but whatever. The point is that even if you're telling the truth, you can "reveal" this guy's name because the AMD Police will not come to get him. -Tom
