Here is copy of email/response to www.rebel.nl. They told me to break out of the program to try to fix the display - but did not offer any possible workaround or reason for the pgm to lock up. Analyzing EPD files is my main use of Rebel. Has anyone else experienced problems with large EPD files with Century? Next I will try reinstalling Rebel Century (and try analyze EPD without installing the 1.2 patch). Email to www.rebel.nl: > Tried to analyze a large EPD file from Bookup. > It ran overnight at PLY=10 on Dell 450 with 128 MG RAM. > When I woke up, it was running the hours like minutes, the minutes like > seconds, and the seconds like milliseconds (they were flying by). > It was still on position 174 out of 470 positions. > I have downloaded the 1.2 patch from the Web site. > I have previously owned Rebel 8.0, 9.0, and 10.0. > Please help. > Evaluating openings is my main use of Rebel. > Thank you. Response from www.rebel.nl: Hello Bob, Press the "break / pause" key on your keyboard and wait for (say) 20-30 seconds. The program stops (pauses). Then press space (for instance) and the program will try to catch the correct time again running wild. We assume something similar happened in your case otherwise we don't know the answer.
