For what its worth, Tinker has even more trouble:
Nodes with extensions for first 4 ply only Ply 6:0.5M, 7:3M, 8:5M, 9:19M
With all extensions Ply 6:1.1M, 7:12M, 8:43M
Without any extensions Ply 6:356K, 7:1.6M, 8:3.2M
Tinker normally only looks for recapture extension for the first 4 ply, or the
explosion is much worse, since there are no other constraints.
Incidentally, e5 is the move found in all cases with a slowly worsening score of
-0.48 by 9 ply--what should it "best" move be?
