Yes... but the reasons are long-since obsolete:

(1) too hard to write the code to probe.  Response:  this is already in the
source Eugene distributed... doesn't take but an hour or two to "hook things
up".

(2) all those gigabytes are too expensive.  Response:  Comp USA is selling an
18 gig disk for 99 dollars.  They are selling 40 gig drives for 250 dollars.
18 gigs holds _all_ the 3-4-5 piece files and has 10 gigs left over...
