Subject: Crafty and Linux

Has any one had problems compiling Crafty 17.10 under Mandrake Linux, actually
the version distributed on the cover of the British magazine PCPlus.

Typing make as I used to SuSe 6.2 I get a lot of the following warnings:
% ax used instead of % eax due to w suffix.

And the warning message that two of the functions in egtb.c have been defined
but not used, one being int TbtProbeTable(…..).

The compiled versions runs but has stopped taking the compressed egtb files.

(My own program compiles but cannot read its own book.).

gcc –v says the compiler is version 2.95.2 19991024
