In the worst case displaying three variations will cause the program to expend tree or more times work and that would almost certainly mean one less ply searched (that translates to a lot of elo points lost). That could be translated to running the machine on a PC with one third the clock speed. And that is certainly not impressive. Regards Dan Andersson
