Does everything said about crafty have to be Good?? I didn't say that your first message was an obvious troll. I said "As written, your post reads like a troll". It was another message that I said was an obvious troll. This message said that both crafty and the moderators were "lousy". >The truth is that I simply expressed an unpopular opinion, somehow this has been >equated with abuse. It is now a Crime in CCC to say anything bad about crafty. >There is a difference between stating a opinion such as "Crafty plays Lousy >chess" as opposed to a personal attack which would Read The Programmer of >Crafty is a Lunatic". So why was my post deleted, No abusive words were used. >ONLY AN OPINION WAS EXPRESSED. I have emailed you twice today explaining why I have deleted messages posted by you. In both cases I suggested that you rewrite your messages and post them. In the first case, I offered to send you the text of your deleted message so that you wouldn't have to start again from scratch. You haven't responded to either email. After the first deletion you posted a message which called both crafty and the moderators "lousy" in the title (this was the one I called an "obvious troll"). And after that message was deleted, you posted a message that was just a sequence of swear-words. Here are two ways to express an opinion: (a) "I think postmodernist isn't as good as Chess Tiger because PM doesn't understand the endgame as well as CT or the middlegame or the opening for that matter". (b) "I think postmodernist is lousy" If you're going to be rude about my program (or anyone else's program) I think the first is far preferable to the second. Andrew Williams CCC Moderator
