Sure, just log into Fics with for example winboard (I assume you already have that on your computer) select "Use an Internet Chess Server" in the startup menue, select "freechess.org /icsport : 5000 ...". Log on to Fics as "guest" and do "observe <handle>" to observe the game played. I do not know when the next game(s) will be, but someone can tell you for sure.
