Subject: Battle of the Crowns -- calibration runs

I have decided to delay the running of the Battle of the Crowns until June 1st.
The reason is that I want to perform calibration runs so that I can get good ELO
estimates and make accurate seedings. I think in the next two months, I can get
several thousand games in to get accurate seedings.

What I have so far (about one hundred games) is found here:
ftp://38.168.214.175/pub/battle%20of%20the%20crowns/calibration/

If anyone wants to give me games to add to the calibration runs, they should
have the following qualities:

1. Run on a machine which is 250 MHz or better at G/60 time control
2. Run with the *current* versions of the programs from Frank or Volker's pages
3. Run with pondering off
4. Each submitted PGN file should contain only two chess engines.
5. The chess engines must alternate white/black

The number of games does not matter as long as it contains two or more games.

You can match any two programs that you would like. I want to "cross-pollinate"
between the lists so that we have a very good feel for how strong the programs
are in comparison with each other.
