Hi all, Following up on the bad news about delays in the international delivery of my book "Scalable Search in Computer Chess", I am now able to provide some more details on this sad story ... :-( ----- In response to my request as of yesterday, the publisher Vieweg Verlag confirmed the initial shipment of book copies to their international distributor Morgan Kaufmann in the US. Unfortunately, however, the shipment never reached its destination and was delared "lost in transit" by the transport service. Currently, the matter seems to be a sticky insurance case. ----- Finally, the _good_ news: in order to take care and please international customers, Morgan Kaufmann and Vieweg Verlag work on an agreement for immediate remedy. You might be able to speed up the remedy process by complaining again with your distributor and with Vieweg's distribution officer Ruediger Pech <ruediger.pech@bertelsmann.de>. Good luck and sorry for the inconvenience, =Ernst= P.S. Please find more detailed information about the book at URL http://supertech.lcs.mit.edu/~heinz/node1.html.
