Well, actually there isn't a 12th person. This place is a wildcard. Last year it was taken by Judith Polgar I think. Funny thing is, I have an interview with this player here on my desk. Back in 1980 his answer to the question " should computers be allowed to play in regular tournaments ?" was "Yeah, I think so. I don't have a probleem with that. " But then again, it was 1980, and the computer wasn't a threat yet.
