Anyone know what hardware Fritz will use?
Will this be the multi version or single processor version?

Just FYI:
                     OPP
Program HW TPR Avg + = - Tot
Fritz 6	Multi	3020 2620 1 0 0	1
Fritz 6	500mhz	2489 2380 5 4 2	11

Not much data is known about the Multi-processor version of
Fritz. The single processor version may not (unless the program
has changed) may be a middle of the pack participant (depending on
hardware speed) based on the 11 known games todate.

Some other possible programs/Hw that could have been considered
for this event:

                     OPP
Program HW TPR Avg + = - Tot
Rebel 400-600 2545 2465 8 8 4 20 (enough to establish a Rating)
CM6K 450 2554 2268 5 2 0 7 (same King engine as CM7K)

My opinion, I am very happy that Fritz can participate, but the title
belongs to the human winner (although for marketing purposes, if a
program wins, they should be allowed to advertise that they are the
winner of the Dutch Championship, but not the title holder). I also
would like the organizers to consider allowing other programs in based
on results. :) Freezing the HW at some future time, when programs
win this event is a good idea (at least it should be considered). 1GHZ
looks like a good challenging sw/hw combination, but I think 4GHZ will
(3 years away?) will be a challenging platform at tournament or
match play. :)

Best Regards,
