how about I call it: Van-April CCT Results so far: Format 10 Game Match Knockout Event with the time control of 20 minutes + 5 seconds. Run on a dual Celeron 400/128 megs of ram. 32 Megs of hash each. Ponder on. Round of 16 1: Comet (Version B18) 2509 9.5 9: GnuChess (Winboard Version 4) 2315 0.5 I was surprised at this result. I had expected more of a fight from this grandpa of chess engines. 2: The Crazy Bishop (Version 045) 2648 9.5 10: Lamb Chop UNR 0.5 Again, from the stories I had heard, I expected more of a fight from Lamb Chop. The result is more of a testament to the strength of TCB. 3: Little Goliath 2000(Version 2.6) 2552 6.0 11: Anmon (Version 5.06) 2494 4.0 Tough match, hard to call. 4: Crafty (Version 17.10) 2615 6.5 12: Gromit (Version 3.00) 2459 3.5 Gromit did quite well against the king of amatuer 5: ExChess (Version 3.11) 2507 2.0 13: Bringer (Version 1.6) 2343 8.0 6: La Dame Blanche 2251 3.0 14: Inmi (Version 3.03) 2410 7.0 7: Phalanx (Version 22) 2511 6.0 15: Sos UNR 4.0 8: Ant (Version 4.16) 2399 1.5 16 Amy (Version 0.7 Corbit) UNR 8.5 Round of 8 1. Phalanx (Version 22) 2511 3.5 16. Amy (Version 0.7 Corbit) 6.5 Amy surprised here, and now must be a favorite to get to the final. Round of 4 1. Comet (version B18-2) 2509 4.0 3. Little Goliath 2000 (Version 2.6) 2552 6.0 What a come back! Little Goliath was down 4-2 at one point, and managed to pop off 4 straight victories, including an extra game with black due to operator error. 13. Bringer (Version 1.6) 2343 16. Amy (Version 0.7 Corbit) Amy will advance, as she has a 6-1 lead, with only 3 games left. An awesome performance by this engine. FINALS: 3. Little Goliath 2000 (Version 2.6) 2552 16. Amy (Version 0.7 Corbit) Ok, whats your predictions people? I have NO idea how this will go, after seeing Amy's play against its previous opponents. (I would have bet on Phalanx at the least to beat Amy). But I have to pick one, so I will guess 6-4 LG2000. Little Goliath HAS knocked off quite a few strong engines this tourney, not the least being Crafty. Jason PS I am starting to work on a web page. :)
