wow... David... good list...

I broke out my operation manual to BORIS...

the one that says - 'I EXPECTED THAT'...

1978 by Applied Concepts...

One feature was that 'BORIS's distinctive case is solid walnut..'

the manual states that 'BORIS cannot remember past moves...'

the manual mentions that if the King moves from its original square then moves
back, it will not indicate illegal move on castling...

BORIS was designed to 'vary his play, so he will not always respond with these
moves...'

'BORIS can perform a deeper analysis, up to four moves ahead for each side...'

under the heading ...

'Some suggested levels:

E- 1 hour or more. A game that should keep a master's  attention.'

anyway...  just some thoughts...   down memeory lane...
