I suggested smarter use of the tablebases some monthes ago but unfortunately it
seems that most of the programmers are not interested in it(otherwise Fritz6a
could avoid tablebases problems).

Maybe the programmers know that customers usually use programs for analyzing and
not for games so they do not care about ssdf rating.

The only solution from the customers point of view if they want their programs
to avoid stupid mistakes in simple endgames should be to fill the hard drive
with tablebases.
