It is probably so, but it is totally unnoticeable. I have used my Palm for
several weeks at the normal speed before I realized it could be overclocked, and
after that I did not notice any difference in battery life.

The first months I was using AAA NiCd rechargeables, and they lasted approx. 10
days. With or without overclocking, it did not make a difference.

Now I'm using AAA NiMH rechargeables, and they last between 10 and 15 days. And
my Palm is overclocked all the time. Now that I have much more power available,
I also use the backlight screen much more often, so it's hard to compare.

I assume that owners of PalmV, which has a built-in battery that recharges when
you put it on its cradle, would be totally unable to notice any difference in
battery life. Leaving the Palm on its cradle for a few minutes is enough to
recharge it to 100%.
