Your numbers are wrong.  In 1980 Belle, and Cray Blitz were both rated over
2200 in the USCF.  Nuchess and others were right behind in the 2000+ category.
By 1990 this was up to 2350-2400 or so, only a 200 point rating gain.  And here
at 2000, we have deep blue at roughly 2700.  Another 10 years will likely push
that to WC level.

Don't confuse SSDF ratings with human ELo ratings...

comp vs comp gets exaggerated...
