There is probably no big difference between crafty/wb and chessbase/eng native
engine but, if you try crafty/wb vs chessbase/winboard_adapter/crafty.exe then
there should be a difference (especially if pondering is on!).

Of course it does not matter for engines that have been ported to the native
chessbase format but I believe all the others would be seriously weakened.

By the way, such tests should always be done using pondering because it allows
to test weird things like the 'new' sequence sent after each move by chessbase
winboard adapter (which as far as I understand kills all effect of pondering).
