I'm new to chess. But in the same boat as you for playing skill and
future prospects. As such I can offer a perspective you may appriciate.

I have Tasc chess tutor, Like book training only better as you can move
through it faster (and learn quicker). It is very organized. I am
about half way through it now.

I have Chess Mentor and some extra modules. I have done about 960
questions. It is very good, not so traditional it its style. Sort of
addicting actually. The study time just flys right along when using
this product.

I also have purchased Fritz5. I have not had this very long but seems
to have had training in mind just as much as playing strength. I have
been looking at it and playing with it as time permits. I strongly
reccomend it as well.

I have been making great strides by using these products. I find that
chess seems to be more enjoyable the more that you learn.

Good luck to you,
Harl Myers
