But tournament organizers have the power to allow or disallow computers. Almost all tournaments are now advertised with the (NC) [no computers] qualifier. Years ago we had Cray Blitz play in most any tournament we wanted. No more. Welcome to the club. It is mostly fear, however, not sound reasoning that leads to this. The machines are not yet kicking the GM's out of first place. yet...
