When you originally create it, save as to "any type" and you can save it to crafty.rc and not crafty.txt. The biggest reason for associating the .rc with notepad is so that I can double click on the .rc file to edit it real fast, makes my life easier. Also, in my case, I don't need to end each line with LF/CR, and I also don't need to end the rc file with exit. But as far as the end of line, some notepads are different, mine was from WFW, note from Win95 or 98, so that may make a difference. Pete
