If you hold out longer against other programs, you would have to ask yourself, what would the aggressive program have played to "crush" you as you say... I find programs like Rebel 10 or CSTal II more challenging right fromthe opening on (after leaving the book lines of course) than others which play Mr.Sandman chess until I blunder.
